Brotherhood In Arms Story

OUR STORY

  • 2021 — The Beginning
    The brotherhood was founded by Kelvin Farmer after his own mental health and ADHD journey. What began as a WhatsApp support group quickly became a safe space for men to talk openly.
  • 2022 — Growing the Brotherhood
    We expanded across social media and began raising awareness through TikTok, Facebook and community-led supp

  • 2021 — The Beginning
    The brotherhood was founded by Kelvin Farmer after his own mental health and ADHD journey. What began as a WhatsApp support group quickly became a safe space for men to talk openly.
  • 2022 — Growing the Brotherhood
    We expanded across social media and began raising awareness through TikTok, Facebook and community-led support.
  • 2023 — Building the Welfare Team
    Gareth Blackburn joined as Co-Founder renaming the Brotherhood into Brotherhood in arms & Joining us on board as Director of Welfare, strengthening our support for men needing advice, guidance and someone to talk to.
  • 2024 — Launching Events/ Sponsors Across Cheltenham.
    Kelvin set out creating events in Cheltenham to raise awareness of Men's Mental Health with the support from Gareth, Welfare team & Volunteers from Cheltenham, also Bringing on board sponsors to work with the community and their vision.
  • 2025 — Becoming a CIC
    Brotherhood in Arms continues to grow as a registered community organisation breaking stigma and helping men.
  • 2026 — Expansion / Networking
    A Project of Gareth and kelvin was to expand into Scotland opening doors for face to face meetings, sponsors and more, they introduce a new Director of Scotland to over see this project called Paul, and the 3 began to also network out to other support groups regarding men's mental health showing there is no rivalry in men's mental health and together they can break the stigma and other more opening doors to men.

 To break the stigma around men’s mental health by creating safe spaces where men can talk openly, feel heard, and know they are never alone.
